The company was founded in Fort Worth, Texas by current chief executive officer and third generation elevator contractor Tom Cavinder. In addition to our leadership team, Southwest Elevator Company is comprised of numerous elevator repair technicians certified by the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) and who receive ongoing education throughout the year.
As a small company, we believe that service is everything. Whereas other elevator companies provide standardized, out-of-the-box services and solutions, Southwest Elevator Company provides only customized solutions for our clients’ needs. We tailor every repair and maintenance program, modernization initiative, and new construction project according to our clients’ budget parameters, project details, and preferences — ensuring that their elevator system meets their goals now and for years to come.
Our History
Southwest Elevator Company was founded in 2003 in Fort Worth, Texas, where the company remains headquartered nearly 20 years later. Our CEO, Tom Cavinder, comes from a long line of family elevator construction and service providers in the Midwest and Southern regions. Tom built Southwest Elevator company around the principles of superior service and creating a family-like atmosphere. He is actively involved in every new client project.

Southwest Elevator is proud to be an independently owned elevator company and plans to stay that way throughout its next phase of growth.
